Marina Bay

Marina Bay is a waterfront community in the Squantum section of Quincy. This area used to be a Naval Airstrip during the war. When the Navy left, the area was vacant for many years before the vision came about to build a waterfront community of both residential and retail.

The air field that later became a Naval Air Base was one of the first air ports in the world ans Amelia Earhart actually was involved in its development.

There are now several different Condominium communities, as well as retail shops and restraunts with a boardwalk overlooking the Marina (with over 600 slips) and Quincy Bay. Waterworks is a very popular nightspot in the warmer months and is the only outdoor nightclub in the area.

Marina Bay has been home to many celebrities over the years including members of the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and the Boston Bruins.

The Marina Bay Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was a recent addition to Marina Bay and is one of three assisted living facilities in Quincy.
